My mother was a CNA (certified nursing assistant), and as a child I sometimes had the opportunity to meet her patients. They were always so grateful to her and would praise her for all the support she provided. I was proud of how they admired my mom, and her skill and compassion. I wanted to be able to provide the same. n My patients often tell me they appreciate my ability to listen. Really listening is truly important in all aspects of life, but it's especially so in healthcare.
