Dr. Garlove is a Louisville, Ky., native who attended Ballard High School. In 1993, she earned bachelor's degrees in English and psychology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon graduating, Dr. Garlove went to work for the University of Louisville Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. During that time, she obtained a Master of Education degree in counseling psychology, but found she also loved the practice of medicine. Dr. Garlove received her medical degree in 2003 from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Shortly after graduating from medical school, Dr. Garlove took a year away from her training to care for her newborn daughter.
