Dr. Schweitzer is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She received a bachelor of science degree with honors and distinction from Cornell University, where she majored in human development and family studies. She was awarded her medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her post-graduate training as an intern and resident at Columbia Children's Hospital of New York, where she was the recipient of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.
