Dr. Mangonon grew up in Long Beach and was surrounded by medicine at an early age, both of her grandparents were physicians. By learning about their professions, it piqued Dr. Mangonon’s interest and her grandmother, an internal medicine physician, served as her inspiration to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Mangonon has always enjoyed working with kids and has worked with children in a variety of settings, including as a teacher in an after-school program, a camp counselor, and a nanny. Pediatrics allows her to practice her love for medicine along with her love for kids which is a fantastic combination!
