Karyn Hughes, DO in Troy, New York

As a Schenectady native, Dr. Hughes returned home to the Capital District and joined our CapitalCare Pediatrics Troy team. Board-certified in pediatrics, Dr. Hughes completed her pediatric residency and Chief Residency at the University of Connecticut/CT Children's Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School. Dr. Hughes enjoys being part of such an extensive lifespan seeing development and personalities grow from infancy to adolescence. She is drawn to children's resiliency, knowing that even the sickest kids usually recover. When not seeing patients, she enjoys kayaking, crafting, and spending time with her husband and three children.
