Luz M. Karas, M.D. is a board-certified pediatrician, trained at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital (State University of New York at Stony Brook, New York). Dr. Karas is originally from Colombia and trained at Pontifica Universidad Catolica of Ecuador, where she obtained her degree as a Doctor in Medicine and Surgery. After 7 years of training, she elected to come to the US to peruse further education in pediatrics. She is pleased to join Dr. Cardona’s practice as they both share a steadfast commitment to care for children. Her major professional interests are in the area of autoimmune conditions, infectious diseases and allergy/immunology.
