Miriam Schechter, MD, is Director, Medical Student Education at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is in general pediatrics, and she has multiple roles in the education and training of medical students and residents. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1985, Dr Schechter attended New York University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1989. She pursued her postgraduate training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, completing her residency and chief residency in 1993.
