Dr. Austen grew up in Buffalo, New York, and graduated from Nichols High School, where she developed a commitment to the well-being of the community's youngest residents. She earned degrees in Biology and Public Health at the University of Rochester and received her medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Austen completed her pediatrics residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She also completed an Advanced Competency in Medical Education to help train future pediatricians. Dr. Austen lives in Honeoye Falls with her husband, Kevin, and their rescue dogs, Dean and Goose. She enjoys traveling & exploring new restaurants, too!
