Description
Dr. Wood completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Alabama, followed by obtaining her medical degree from the University of South Alabama. She completed her residency training at the Medical College of Georgia Children's Medical Center, where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Wood has had the privilege of practicing pediatrics since 2010. A native Mobilian, it has been her lifelong dream to provide medical care for children on the Gulf Coast. She and her husband, Staples, have two children, William and Nancy. She has been awarded the Lagniappe Reader's Choice Award recipient for "Best Pediatrician" in both 2016 and 2023. Dr. Wood enjoys reading to her children, cheering for the Crimson Tide, and listening to her father play piano.
