I grew up in Eastchester, NY, about 30 minutes north of Yankee Stadium, and got my first real taste of New England during my college years at Williams. I spent a year teaching English in Japan, returned to New York for NYU Medical School, then moved to Washington DC for pediatric residency at Childrens National Medical Center. I met my wife, a medical social worker, during residency and we stayed on in DC and later Maryland as I joined a pediatric practice in nearby Rockville. While we loved DC, when our daughter was born, we knew we wanted to be closer to our families in New York and Boston. The Pioneer Valley was the perfect fit-close to nature, but also with the bustle of a college town, and I was fortunate to join NAP in 2012.
