Description
Stephen Barbera, MD, received his undergraduate degree from Notre Dame, obtained his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. As one of six children, his upbringing instilled the value of teamwork and the joy that comes with working hard and succeeding in a task. He proudly served as a pediatrician and major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps for eight years prior to returning to western Pennsylvania and joining UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics. He has a wonderful wife and 3 beautiful children and loves the great outdoors, coaching his children in sports, and promoting curiosity in the next generation of children.
