Dallen Ormond grew up in the St George, Utah area. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology and Nursing from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In 1999, he graduated from Brigham Young University with a Masters of Science in Nursing, completing the Family Nurse Practitioner program. He also received his PhD from Oregon Health and Science University with an emphasis in childhood obesity. He has a broad range of experience in both pediatric and family medicine, as well as orthopedics and sports medicine. He spent two years working with the Department of Cardiology at Primary Children's Medical Center, caring for critically ill children. He has been with Families First Pediatrics since co-founding it in 2001.
